23. Brief History of School	L.M.L.P School, Arivarikuzhi is located in Pulimath Gramapanchayath on a chunk of land of 1.4 acres. A Christian church was established here in 1917 with the intention of people to Christianity. But this result in stiff opposition from the local people. As a result in 1923, the Lutheran Church under the leadership of some foreign missionaries founded a school. Even though it was a recognized the school, no grant no salary received by the Teachers. Since the salary paid by the management was Rs.5 than that of Government. In the beginning 1st std and later on 2nd std began to function in the school. After some time, it got recognition from the government and it became an aided school. The First head of the teacher is Sri.Hodder and the first student is Velutheeran N Chenena from, Arivarikuzhi, Pachayil Veedu, Vamanapuram

The "Radio Station work to express the creative abilities of children. In order to inculcate the habit of saving in children and at the same time make them understand mathematical problems in simple manner "school bank" is functioning where the children themselves act as manager & cashier. One day in a week for sports education training is given on a sports day, conducts karate classes. Various clubs are functioning to the school. The school has a school library & class library.

Description	Concordia UPS, Mannamoola is situated 5 kms away from the capital city, at Peroorkada. The school was established by an American missionary, Rev. Cooker, in 1916. The name of the school then was Vattiyoorkavu Vernacular Malayalam School the aim of the founder of the school was to render education and religious consciousness to the most backward people in the Lutheran Churches. There were seperateboarding facilities for boys and girls at that time. Children were provided with text books, food, dress etc, free of cost. Teachers were fully qualified according to the educational code of that time. In 1930, the school ran classes from standard I to VII Sri Fritz is the First Headmaster. The school functioned as Concordia Training School from 1953 to 1958. Later, according to the revised scheme Training Department was discontinued in 1958. The boarding facilities were also discontinued. The school become an Aided school in 1960.
